Trinity House

Trinity House Inc. is a non profit organization with its own 501c3 status that is led by a board of directors

Trinity House Inc. has been in existence for 6 years. The thrift store has been  managed on a daily basis for the past 5 years by our own Ruth Edwards. 100_1798 Ruth loves this ministry the Lord has given her.

The thrift shop seeks to meet many needs that the people in our community may have. The store offers a wide selection of products that are priced to sell in an environment unlike any thrift store you have seen. Each time you make a purchase at the Trinity House Inc.  Thrift Store, you are helping in the battle to restore lives and families by providing a means to clothe a family in need. This is a life-changing work. When you shop at the Trinity House Inc.  Thrift Store, you are not simply participating in a retail experience; you are joining a movement that is changing lives. The thrift store also helps to support Trinity United Methodist Parish. The thrift store pays a monthly rental to the church along with subsidizing the heating and electric expenses.

Ruth and her volunteers accept gently used clothing and household goods. They ask that all items be clean and in good repair; something that you would consider wearing yourself. We strongly prefer that items be seasonal since we have limited storage space. The thrift store does not take the following: old TVs, old computers or large furniture.

If you visit the thrift store, you will see how well managed and kept it is. It is kept dusted and organized, with separate rooms for each gender’s   clothing needs. thrift shop 4The main room upon entering the store is filled with glassware, dishes and small appliances and electronics.

Trinity House Inc. Thrift Store hours are Wednesdays-Fridays from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 pm and on Saturdays from 9:00 am-12:00 noon. But you will find Ruth and volunteers on Tuesday’s also tagging and hanging clothing. Ruth is thinking she would like to extend the Saturday hours but at this point can not due to the need of more volunteers. Ruth would also love to be able to also be open on Tuesdays to be available to the persons who visit and fellowship the community luncheons. Ruth is also in need of volunteers to help with the upkeep. Volunteers are needed to hang and tag clothing, dust, sweep and clean bathrooms.
